Lucknow Drive

Project Overview: Acute Civil Engineering (ACE) was tasked with re-modelling a virtually unusable area to the rear of an existing property in Lucknow Drive, Nottingham. From the outset, the level difference from the carriageway to the bottom of the garden was 14 meters, which posed a logistical problem for material access and egress. To overcome this, a tracked dumper was mobilised to undertake the task of transporting the large volumes of material required.

All materials were sourced from local suppliers in and around the Nottingham quarries area. Granular fill material was sourced from within a 3-mile radius, ensuring we minimised long-distance transport movements in line with our Carbon Reduction policy.

Acute Civil Engineering were employed to undertake the following civil engineering works at Lucknow Drive. Our contracted works are as follows;

  • Demolition and disposal of extension to property
  • Installation of temporary haul road
  • Install land drainage
  • Install foul drainage network for future development
  • Installation of 86m of 4m high gabion basket retaining structure in 2 areas to create usable sports and social areas
  • Cut and fill to rear of gabion basket structures
  • Import of granular materials
  • Install timber sleepers
  • Install artificial lawn for sports activities
